Durga. I've been drumming on and off for years. I like most music, but I'm a metal head! Love video games and anime. I'm not the best artist but I like to mess around a bit. They don't think it be like it is, but it do.

Its a sad time for animators around the world

Posted by ninjawafflez - April 11th, 2012

Well, as many of you are already aware, we have lost a very good person in the month of March this year. Edd Gould, one of the creators of the great animation series "EddsWorld" passed away last month due to his cancer. He fought the cancer hard, until the end, and was greatly supported by his fellow friends, animators and subscribers alike. Videos were made about him kicking the ass of cancer, and we all thought for sure that he would.

His videos were amazing, they were funny, well written, interesting, unique, and the fact that he included his friends in it to help him and participate as characters made it all the more real, even though stopping a giant tidal wave by unplugging all of your electronics isn't exactly what you might call "real" :P haha. ( then again, anything can happen in EddsWorld )
But really, it did allow us to see a little more personally into his life and for us all to feel closer to him I think, even though most of us have never met him, I think many of us including I considered him to be a friend in a way.

I know this is an over rated thing to say now, but its the truth that he was really a true inspiration to many, many young artists out there who are currently doing their own art and animations. He really had his soul put into it, he did it for the fans because he knew we loved his videos, and that's really something y'know? To see someone do so much just to please all of their fans, that really is an inspiring act. He also did it purely for his love of animating, his spirit really went into his work.

He fought this cancer so hard, and was so into it, and you could tell that he was certain he would win it. Losing didn't seem to even be a possibility in his mind, and that is an epic, awesome thing.
I love to laugh, and he made me laugh a LOT, so like many Youtubers who did so on camera, and even though I am a Pepsi drinker, I grabbed a conveniently found can of Coca-Cola in the fridge, and raised it for him him the day I heard of his death., obviously its not much but he was renowned for his love of Cola, so it only seemed right.

I know this most definitely isn't the most beautiful thing to read, I'm not real good at writing this sort of thing, but I wanted to do it, because it's really the least I can do to pay him back for all the good laughs he has given me over these few years of his animation life.

So, once again, here is to you, Edd Gould the animator, Edd Gould the writer, Edd Gould the hilariously funny, Edd Gould the extremely nice guy, and Edd Gould the epicly awesome.
Here iss to you, Edd, may your work go on to please all future generations to come,
And may you never be forgotten.
We'll all miss ya buddy!

------RIP------
--Edd Gould--
